Allotments

The "plot drop” service

After some thought and reviewing our delivery method for allotments, we have made the decision to invest in the task ahead. We are excited to introduce your very own plot drop service. This will be a specialist operation carried out using a bobcat or skid steer.

This service is to be treated as a bulk order requiring a minimum of 6 bulk bags and maximum of 18 bulk bags per visit. This will need to be pre-booked in coordination with your fellow plot holders. All bulk bag orders will be closely monitored and allocated accordingly to your site area. Orders will be delivered in bulk using our small lorry (carrying 6x 850-litre bulk bags) to your designated access point/parking area.

Please note that it is mandatory that you gain permission from your site rep and provide contact details to enable us to also contact you with any issues or queries.

Our trained staff will return with the bobcat to facilitate your plot drop service. Bags will then be individually picked up and delivered directly to your plot. This will enable us to have better access to more plots and provide convenience for plot holders.

The mobile Puckamuck shop

Over the last year, we have been independently contacting allotment site reps in our area and supplying our 60-litre sacks from the back of our vans at a discounted rate of £5 per sack. This service is to be treated as a bulk order and will need to be pre-booked in coordination with your fellow plot holders.

Once your date has been confirmed, our vans will park in a safe place where you will be expected to be present to collect and pay via cash or card to the driver on the day. Our delivery vehicles can hold up to 60x60 litre sacks, and we have two vans available to provide this service, meaning we can deliver up to 120 sacks in one visit.

MPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to continuous incidents with poor access, unsafe haulage ways, and poor ground conditions resulting in damage to our vehicles, we will no longer allow vehicles to go on allotment sites (unless deemed safe to do so). Any deliveries made to allotments will be to the nearest access point or parking area.
